At Sunset, we don’t just want you to move truckloads. We have the ability to help you grow and expand your services to create and maintain your relationship with your customers. Sunset will work one-on-one with you to learn how to sell our services as a third party logistics provider.
Set Up Requirements
Agents will need a Windows XP computer or better with a high speed Internet connection, printer, phone and fax line. Sunset will provide agent with an operating system, email address, business cards and marketing materials.
Education & Agent Support
Your success is our success; therefore it is important for us to spend time with you to understand the different services and benefits available through Sunset. We do our best to keep our agents informed and up to date by regular training sessions and newsletters. Sunset also has a single point of contact, agent liaison, available for any of your questions or help at any time, as well as headquarters staff who know who you are and can assist you with any of your questions.
Credit & Receivables
Running credit takes only 5 minutes. Once your customer is approved, you will receive an email acknowledging that the customer is set up and their approved credit limit. It’s that easy. Our new customer packet is available on our website which includes any required documentation your customers would require to complete their set up.
Invoicing
Sunset does all invoicing upon receipt of the carriers invoice and signed proof of delivery. POD images are available to agents through our system at any time.
Weekly Payment
Agents are paid every week on Monday by ACH for all shipments that were invoiced the previous Monday through Friday.
Carrier Payables
At Sunset, we pride ourselves on our near perfect credit score consistently in the 90′s. We pay our carriers in 21 days or less and also offer our carriers 3 different programs for faster payment.
- Comchecks are available for up to 30% of the total load upon pickup.
- Quick Pay is available 48 hours from receipt of a faxed proof of delivery for 3%.
- Next Day pay is available by ACH the day after faxed POD is received for 5%.
Pricing Tools
Sunset has invested in many systems tools which are available to you and any of your customers within minutes. The Sunset FreightLOGIK®
is an online Transportation Management System (TMS) that which gives you visibility to a variety of LTL carriers as well as a truckload rate for the lane information provided. Our system also enables customers to not only get a quote, but also create a shipment, print their shipment’s BOL, track and trace their shipments.
System Reliability
Our agent system is web-based, meaning as long as you have an Internet connection, you will be able to access the system. Our servers are secure and are backed up nightly. We also have an IT staff available 24/7 for any assistance you may need at no cost to you.
Online Posting Services and Tools
Sunset will set you up with whichever online posting system you are familiar with for as little as $10 a month. Other items which are free for you to use are a Canadian posting service, an Online NMFC guide and Carrier 411, among other tools.
Claims
Sunset will handle your customer’s claims on your behalf. We will work with you to make sure your customer has a clear understanding of the claims process, and that it is processed as quickly as possible.
