Jim Williams, CEO
Jim Williams, founder of Sunset Transportation in 1989, has spent his lifetime working in the transportation industry. Prior to Sunset, Jim was an Agent Division Manager for Keyway Transportation, an asset based large truck load carrier out of Baltimore, Maryland. He also managed Williams Paper Company, a St. Louis-based paper converter company, established in 1861, and one of the city’s oldest family-owned companies. (See the Sunset Experience)
Jim is also very active in the St. Louis community. He has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Boy Scouts of America, Greater St. Louis Area Council, since 2006. Jim has served as Chairman of the Board of Enterprise Bank & Trust, Sunset Hills, MO since 1998. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Sunset Country Club, St. Louis, MO, since 2004-2007.
Mark Cammarata, CFO
With over 20 years of financial management experience, Mark Cammarata has made an excellent addition to the Sunset team. His experience prior to Sunset includes a variety of entity sizes; from smaller, privately held companies, to a division of one of the world’s largest corporations. Mark’s primary focus is to translate Sunset’s financial and transactional knowledge bases into usable and actionable information which we can use to better understand and serve our customers.
Mick McGrory, Vice President
Mick McGrory has been part of the Sunset team for over a decade. He has played a pivotal role in making Sunset the strong and diverse logistics provider it is today. His implementation and project management skills have been instrumental in developing programs to meet the expectations of Sunset’s new and existing customers.
Mick has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and a Minor in Finance from Fontbonne University.
Lindsey Williams-Graves, Director of Marketing
Lindsey Williams-Graves joined the Sunset team full time in 2006. Lindsey is proud to be involved in the transportation industry and part of an organization that strives to provide nothing but great service to its’ customers. As the daughter of Sunset’s CEO, she also enjoys having the opportunity to make Sunset not only a place where employees like coming to work, but know that their hard work makes a tremendous difference in the success of the company.
Lindsey has a Bachelors degree in Media Studies with a concentration in Marketing and Public Relations from the College of Charleston in South Carolina.
Paul Middleton, Director of International Transportation
Paul Middleton brings nearly three decades of international transportation experience to Sunset. His attention to detail and commitment to exceptional service for every shipment sets the pace for the rest of our international staff and has been instrumental in the success and NVOCC licensing of the division.
Anna Hickman, National Sales Executive
With over a decade of experience in the transportation industry, Anna Hickman has made a great addition to the Sunset team. Her extensive experience on the carrier side of the industry allows her to work with prospective and existing customers to identify cost saving opportunities by providing unique logistics solutions.
Jim Ackermann, Regional Sales Manager
Jim Ackermann joined the Sunset Team in 2011 with over 20 years of carrier experience in operations as well as local, regional and national account sales. With his operational knowledge he understands that communication needs are vital between the customer and the transportation provider. Jim believes that working together as partners provides the greatest opportunity to being successful at providing the service required to your customers, the ability to identify customer specific transportation solutions and provide overall transportation cost reduction.
Jan Laufer, Director of Freight Payment
Jan Laufer brings over ten years business development, analyst, and project management experience in freight and parcel invoice audit, payment, and reporting services. Jan’s expertise includes functioning as the best-practice and subject mater expert for accounting and transportation professionals in a variety of industries relative to freight and parcel invoice audit, payment and reporting outsourcing.
Jan has a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Maryville University, St. Louis, Missouri.
Ron Bowman, Freight Payment Manager
Ron Bowman brings a unique blend of business skills to Sunset, ranging from accounting and general management to IT. Over the years, Ron has been instrumental in the design and implementation of Sunset’s freight payment system improvements. With prior retail and corporate relocation experience, Ron places a strong emphasis on customer service and is committed to providing the highest quality of freight payment services possible.
Ron has a Bachelors degree of Science in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University.
Steve Pandolfo, Director of Pricing
Steve Pandolfo has been a part of the Sunset team since 2006. Starting as a data entry specialist in the freight payment division, he quickly climbed the ranks at Sunset by filling the necessary voids and evolving with the changing industry. Steve and his team handle all pricing negotiations with LTL carriers, as well as moderate Sunset’s ever changing technology. Steve’s department is the backbone of both FreightLOGIK and PayLOGIK, managing all the pricing and contracts that our customers rely on. Steve’s department is also responsible for any bids the company participates in or request for pricing files that are sent out, as well as any customer or carrier analysis.
Steve has an Associates Degree in Information Technology from Vatterott College.
Andrew Dunbar, Operations Team Lead
Andrew Dunbar joined the Sunset Team in September of 2011, bringing over 10 years of sales and operations experience from one of the industry’s leading 3PL’s. He is currently involved with the implementation and transition of new customers into the Sunset network, as well as working hand in hand with management to identify best-practices and optimize operations. Andrew is excited for the opportunities ahead and is looking forward to being a part of Sunset as they continue to grow on their fundamental principles of Honesty, Integrity, Communication, Education and Team.
Andrew has his Bachelors degree in Public Management from Indiana University, and is currently earning his Masters of Business Administration – Operations Management from St. Louis University.
Sherry Rose, Agent Recruitment Manager
Sherry joined the Sunset team in March of 2010 with over 25 years in the transportation industry. She has experience in administration and driver personnel and previously owned her own brokerage for 13 years. She has recently stepped into the full-time position of recruiting and sales for Sunset, and brings a unique perspective on hiring and customer service to her position.
