The Less than Truckload (LTL) Program at Sunset is Simple
We will use the same carriers you’re familiar with, such as Fed Ex, UPS, and Old Dominion, to ship your less than truckload freight. Over the past 20 years, Sunset has built strong relationships with a network of common carriers. We take pride in our carrier relations because they are an extension of our business.
What’s the catch? There is none! We ship your freight and you save money because of our “buying power” with these carriers.
One size doesn’t fit all:
- Contract Negotiations—Sunset’s LTL carriers include over 40 regional and national carriers, including those with which Sunset has “blanket” contracts. We negotiated these blanket contracts by leveraging Sunset’s buying power. As a result, our customers save an average of 10-25% per load. Some examples of these carriers are FedEx, YRC, Old Dominion and Saia, to name only a few.
- Customer Specific Pricing—Sunset’s RFP (Request for Pricing) process has been so successful over the years, we have been referred by our carriers to other logistics companies to outsource this process on their behalf. This process is something we do on a regular basis for all modes of transportation and our partners have grown accustomed to the thoroughness and accuracy of our requests. This proven track record allows the carriers to come in at the pricing levels we request as well as maintain or improve pricing for our customers over the years.
